Description: Haworthia is a genus of small succulent plants native to southern Africa. They belong to the family Asphodelaceae and are known for their rosette-shaped growth habit, typically with thick, fleshy leaves that range from dark green to translucent and sometimes marked with patterns or raised ridges. The leaves can be smooth or have small tubercles (bumps) on the surface. Some species produce small white or pink flowers on slender stalks, but Haworthia are primarily cultivated for their attractive foliage.

Light:
Requirement: Bright, indirect light.
Details: Haworthia species prefer bright light conditions. They can tolerate some direct sunlight, especially morning sun, but should be protected from intense afternoon sun to prevent leaf scorching.
Watering:
Requirement: Moderate watering.
Details: Water Haworthia plants regularly during the active growing season (spring and summer), allowing the soil to dry out partially between waterings. Reduce watering in the winter months when growth slows down.
Soil:
Requirement: Well-draining soil.
Details: Plant Haworthia in a well-draining succulent or cactus potting mix. Ensure the soil provides good drainage to prevent waterlogged conditions, which can lead to root rot.
