Porcellio scaber, commonly known as the common rough woodlouse or rough woodlouse, would include information on their habitat, diet, humidity, temperature, and general care.

Here's a basic care sheet for Porcellio scaber:

Species Name: Porcellio scaber (Common Rough Woodlouse)

Habitat:

1. Enclosure: Provide a suitable enclosure with a secure lid to prevent escapes.

  • Substrate: Use a substrate that retains moisture well, such as coconut coir or a mix of coconut coir and sphagnum moss.
  • Hideouts: Include hiding spots like cork bark, pieces of bark, or smooth stones for the woodlice to shelter under.

2. Temperature:

  • Temperature Range: Maintain a temperature between 18-24°C (64-75°F).
  • Heating: Generally, room temperature is sufficient, but a small heat pad may be used if necessary.

3. Humidity:

  • Humidity Level: Keep the enclosure relatively humid, around 60-80%.
  • Spraying: Mist the enclosure regularly to maintain humidity levels. Avoid excessive moisture to prevent mold.

4. Diet:

  • Feeding: Feed a variety of decomposing organic matter, such as leaf litter, wood, and vegetable matter.
  • Calcium Source: Include a calcium source, like cuttlebone or crushed eggshells, to support their exoskeleton development.
  • Here is our exclusive blend formulated for maximum growth and breeding.

5. Lighting:

  • Light Requirements: Woodlice are nocturnal and do not require special lighting.
  • Day/Night Cycle: Mimic a natural day/night cycle by providing a dark period.

6. Maintenance:

  • Cleaning: Remove uneaten food and feces regularly to maintain a clean environment.
  • Molting: Provide a soft substrate to facilitate molting, as woodlice shed their exoskeletons to grow.

7. Social Structure:

  • Grouping: Porcellio scaber is social and can be kept in groups.
  • Compatibility: Ensure compatibility when introducing new individuals to a group.

8. Breeding:

  • Reproduction: Woodlice reproduce through indirect copulation. A balanced environment can encourage breeding.
  • Gestation Period: Gestation lasts a few weeks, and the female will release offspring.\

9. Behavior:

  • Nocturnal Activity: Woodlice are primarily active during the night.
  • Aggregation: They tend to aggregate in dark, humid areas.

10. Health Issues:

  • Mold Control: Monitor for mold growth, especially in high-humidity environments.
  • Isolation: Remove sick or injured individuals promptly to prevent the spread of disease.

Remember that care requirements may vary slightly depending on the specific locality of the woodlice and the conditions in which they are kept. Always observe your Porcellio scaber regularly and adjust care as needed.

      Good service

The service provided was very good. Received 9/10 isopods alive after far shipment to Oudtshoorn. Unfortunately it was not Porcellio scaber isopods, but Porcellionides pruinosus (Powder blue isopods) which I already have.
