We have bulbs ready to grow in your Pond!!!
Colorado water lily (Nymphaea ‘Colorado’) is a medium sized, variable water lily changing in colour through peach to red. The blooms are a beautiful shape and colour and stand 3-4 in (7.5-10 cm) above the water. The soft pink outer petals shade to light peach on the innermost petals and there is a yellow centre to the flower. Stellate (star-like) in shape, the flowers measure 3-4 in (7.5-10 cm) across with twenty-six to twenty-eight petals and also have a very pleasant fragrance.
- A very prolific bloomer that will flower late into the season.
- The nearly round leaves with their open sinus measure 5-7 in (12.5-18 cm) across. The foliage is medium green in colour while the newer leaves are a more olive green.
- Spread 36-60in (90-150cm).
- Recommended for a medium size pond.
- Planting depth above soil level 24in (60cm).
- We would recommend a planting basket of at least 22cm across.
- Water lilies are heavy feeders and benefit from a slow release fertilizer specially prepared for aquatic plants such as Growth Balls which can simply be pushed into the soil.
We always remove all the foliage to prevent spoiling while in transit
