Typha capensis, also called Bulrush, Papkuil,  Matjiesriet, Palmier or cattail.
Perennial
Robust, perennial reed-like plant with thick, fleshy, creeping rhizomes, erect stems and long strap-shaped, hairless leaves.
Bears flowers tightly packed into a thick brown mass just below the male part.
The male flower falls off, leaving the bulrush 'flower' that is the fruiting part of the plant.
Can grow up to 3m.
Needs wet soil or shallow water in sun or shade.
The fast-growing rhizomes spread quickly and will form large clumps of leaves.
It can be controlled by chopping back new rhizomes.
For easier maintenance and to manage growth, plant bulrushes in separate containers.
 
PLEASE NOTE –
These pond plants have a waiting period of 2 to 3 weeks before they will be available. This is due to the logistics and fuel prices to get it from the farm to our facility in Gezina.
Regarding shipping -
Pick up – if you pic up, they will be sold as potted plant in a 15cm pot.
Shipping via courier – To protect the plants against damage during transport and save on freight costs, We will remove it out of the pot, clean and package them in individual bags.
